About the Role

VITEC is looking for a Technical Support Engineer, reporting to the Team leader of the Customer Success Team.

Main duties include:

  • Acquiring the skills to install, configure, and provide support for our products.
  • Support customers through the inquiries raised on helpdesk or by phone.
  • Finding solutions to known issues in our knowledge base or in collaboration within the technical team.
  • Confirming hardware failures remotely and coordinating their replacement with the operations team.
  • Reproducing new issues and reporting them to the development teams.
  • Keeping the support portal up to date by documenting tickets and solutions to new issues encountered.
  • Showcasing our new products at trade shows or demonstrations in partnership with the sales team.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction to drive sales and support contracts.

About You

With at least 5 years' experience, you have a degree from an engineering school or equivalent university.

You are known for your ability to learn quickly, your adaptability, your openness to new tools and technologies, your ability to summarise and your good interpersonal skills.

You're also a self-starter, autonomous and passionate about technology.

The skills required for this position are:

  • Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.
  • Basic experience with Linux systems and web server administration.
  • Proficiency in a scripting language or a database.
  • Experience in deploying and configuring corporate networks.

Preferred Skills:

  • A professional CCNA certification 640-802 is a desirable asset.
  • Knowledge of video compression standards such as H.264 or H.265 is a plus.
