About the Role

We are recruiting for an Electronic Systems Design Engineer in the Hardware department of VITEC. You will join the electronic systems design team, whose mission is to specify, design, integrate and validate the electronic platforms of our products.

Main duties include:

• Feasibility studies.
• Justification of design.
• Define technical specifications according to customer needs.
• Selection of electronic components.
• Entry of electrical schematics.
• Monitoring of our partners: CAD, PCB manufacturing, Assembly.
• Tests, verification, and validation of electronics.
• EMC tests and MTBF calculation.
• Programming of FPGA components in VHDL language..
• Support to software teams for integration
• Support to mechanical teams (participation in mechanical design).
• Support to industrialization teams (participation in the development of test benches).
• Troubleshooting and debugging.

About You

You have a higher technical education at Bac +5 level and you have at least 5 years of experience in the development of complex electronic systems, in the field of video would be a plus.

The skills needed for the position are:

• Expert of schema entry
• Control of the constraints related to the CAD of printed circuits
• Control of the constraints related to the manufacture of printed circuits
• Skills in simple SMD/DIP soldering.
• Familiar with DFM and DFT processes
• Familiar with the constraints related to mechanical integration and thermal aspects.
• Familiar with constraints related to EMC
• Familiar with VHDL and C/C++ programming languages

Knowledge in the following areas would be a plus:

• Programmable components CPU, DSP, SOC, Microcontrollers …
• Interfaces HDMI, SDI, PCI, PCI express, DDR2-3-4, USB, Fiber, Ethernet, SATA …
• Low power electronics: isolated power supplies, buck, DC/DC, etc.

Given the international environment of our company, the knowledge of technical English read, spoken and written is essential for this position.
