VITEC’s GreenPEG ™ initiative for carbon balanced video products makes the world a better place for future generations

Climate change is a global problem. Our commitment for emission reduction is to be carbon balanced. Going carbon neutral was the inception of our comprehensive plan to reduce greenhouse gases and to take responsibility for the greenhouse gas emissions we create every time we drive our cars, fly, or turn on our computers. To achieve carbon neutrality, companies must account for many components of their footprint, with enterprise video being just one piece of the puzzle.

Recently, VITEC launched the GreenPEG initiative to further optimize MPEG technology by addressing -- and minimizing -- the size, weight, and power of devices that contribute to energy consumption. Residual emissions are fully offset by the investment in approved and audited carbon reduction projects. GreenPEG products are carbon neutral and thoughtfully designed to be easily disassembled and recycled to reduce the environmental impact.
