PARIS — VITEC, a market-leading provider of IPTV, Video Streaming and Digital Signage Solutions, will showcase its latest products and initiatives at IBC 2022 on Stand 7.A39 (RAI, Amsterdam 9-12 September, 2022). Under the spotlight will be the company’s newest, best-in-class IP video products and services – including its MGW Diamond+ OG Encoder – as well as an increased focus on how these solutions can help enterprises move towards carbon neutrality.

Since the last IBC in 2019, VITEC’s IPTV and digital signage product portfolio has been strengthened by the acquisition of Exterity. This deal has opened a new chapter for VITEC and puts the company in a strong position to capitalise on the growth of businesses deploying IP video streaming solutions across their enterprises.

I’m very much looking forward to IBC as it always provides an opportunity for the broadcast industry to get together, which is especially important this year,
says Bruno Teissier, SVP of Sales, VITEC.

It’s exciting to be able to talk with the industry about some of the significant developments that have been happening at VITEC in the interim. We’re delighted to showcase our MGW Diamond+ OG Encoder at IBC, which will deliver huge benefits in many broadcast applications.”

Easy integration and robust streaming:
MGW Diamond +OG Encoder

The MGW Diamond+ OG, making its first EMEA appearance at IBC, is a 4K/Multichannel HEVC, H.264 and MPEG-2 encoder in an openGear® (OG) card format. This latest addition to VITEC’s encoding range is designed for a wide range of contribution or point-to-point streaming applications over IP within production studios, broadcast facilities or corporate server rooms.

Typical applications for the MGW Diamond+ OG include site-to-site primary distribution; remote production over unconstrained networks; remote/at home production over the internet/REMI, as well as standard IPTV distribution. Featuring Ultra High Definition and High Dynamic Range (HDR) support, Diamond+ OG can capture and stream 4K 60p from either its 4x3G-SDI or 12G-SDI inputs, and soon from its SMPTE 2110 input (over 25Gbit SFP interface). The card supports 4:2:2 10-bit encoding; multichannel audio encoding as well as Zixi™, SRT, RIST and Pro-MPEG transport protection technology for reliable video, audio transmission over lossy networks.

IP video content anywhere,
any time with ChannelLink

With more and more video feeds being streamed live over various IP transmission links, organisations must find solutions that can efficiently and reliably manage this potentially complex situation. Visitors to the VITEC stand will be able to preview ChannelLink, which enables delivery of IP content anywhere, at any time with the ease-of-use of legacy baseband video matrices. ChannelLink acts as a central hub where IP channels from the field can be reliably received and retransmitted live, acting as an extremely efficient gateway across any IP network. It is especially well suited for stream management, routing, rebroadcasting or IPTV stream reflection over WAN/Internet. For broadcasters, ChannelLink simplifies content delivery of live channels from news agencies as well as sports or entertainment venues.

At the 73rd annual Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards ceremony in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), VITEC received the award in the “Management of IP Multicast Video Distribution to Desktops and TVs in News & Media Production Facilities” category for its EZ TV IPTV Platform and its significant impact on users in the television space.
