The workflow-based system integrates all functions from ingest through previewing to secure storage. It combines online storage for project parking and proxy clips with low-cost, reliable LTO 5/6 storage for long-term archiving, enabling expensive online media to be quickly cleared and reused.
The <link products management-archive media-archiving product show pa-105060>Proxsys PA system leverages innovative design to ensure fast, easy access to video media associated with active projects. The Java web start Upload Tool enables users to drag-and-drop single files, structured content like XDCAM EX or complete NLE projects, extract and enrich metadata and push to the Proxsys PA online storage and ultimately, move to LTO-5/6 data tapes. Automatically generated preview clips, as well as temporary hi-res files can be quickly and easily accessed online. Utilizing the LTFS file system allows LTO tapes to be mounted like standard removable media, enabling quick file transfer to and from the archive tapes with just a few clicks. The newest Proxsys PA system, the Proxsys PA-60 supports 2.5 TB LTO-6 tapes.
Proxsys PA is compatible with popular camera formats including XDCAM, XDCAM EX, AVCHD, AVCINTRA and NLE solutions such as AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut PRO X, GV Edius.
