About the Role

As part of the IT Team you will be the first point of contact in the Company for the IT Department. You will proactively be handling help desk tickets, user requests, making sure everything is online, available, and performing at its highest ability. On a day to day basis you will be responsible for managing IT Support at each of our locations.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm and you will be based in our office in Dalgety Bay.

Key areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Proactive checking of inter-office connections, servers, backups, network switches and other online services.
  • Prioritising and working through Zendesk tickets assigned, closing when appropriate.
  •  Escalating tickets where necessary.
  • Monitoring and responding to any security alerts, whether from antivirus clients or urgent security patched that need applied.
  • Building of Servers, desktops, laptops (both Windows and Centos/Ubuntu) to best secure and H.A practices.
  •  Join daily and weekly IT Team call.
  • Project work as required.

About You

As the role is customer facing the successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills as well as written and verbal skills. As we have offices globally you must be able to liaise with users at all levels within the business.

Experience

Experience within a similar IT Support/Service Desk role.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to support Windows (Desktop and Server), Exchange, Office 365, HPE/Aruba, Cisco Meraki, desktop applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and associated protocols: DHCP, DNS, HTTP, multicast etc.
  • Very competent with Windows 10/Server 2016 administration and associated technologies such as Active Directory/Azure Active Directory/Hyper-V and Group Policy.
  • Office 365 administration and rollout and support of local and remote users.
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark.
  • Desirable
    •  Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, such as Azure/AWS IAAS /PAAS
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Telephony and setup of call queues, call routing.
    • Previously worked with 3rd party suppliers.
    • Ability to design and deliver training to users both locally and remotely, including new starts
    • Experience of purchasing of applicable company standard IT hardware.
