Fullstack Software Engineer – JavaScript/Typescript/Nodejs
About the Role
Are you passionate about the latest JavaScript/Typescript/web tech. If so, you will take this knowledge and apply it to our Accommodation and Signage creation tools. Our products can be found all around the world from rooms in elite hotels in Dubai, to the concourse in a casino in Australia as well as next to a hospital bed in the US or throughout some of the biggest stadiums in the world.
You will join a team of 8 engineers plus 2 dedicated QA engineers to add new features to our products. The team work on the latest smart TVs (we have over 100 in the office) from the biggest manufacturers and our own range of set top boxes used where a smart TV just won’t do. We run 2 week sprint scrum ceremonies with one exception, Fridays are meeting free. Keep that day to yourself to focus without distractions.
About You
You will have experience using fullstack JavaScript/Typescript frameworks to create engaging user experiences.
Ideally:
- You consider yourself a coder and are proficient in one or more of the following languages:
- JavaScript/Typescript/Node.js
- Experience coding in a commercial environment
- UX driven and user centric approach
- Look at an interface workflow and say “I can do better than that!”
- Created interfaces using a framework such as Angular
- Some familiarity with a Linux distro such as CentOS/Red Hat would be a bonus
- An understanding of CI methodology and tools
- Can apply coding best practise
- Mentored or want to step up to mentor junior engineers in the team
Experience with tools such as:
- JIRA
- GIT
- Jasmine/Karma
- Cypress
- Your Brain
