The Focus FS-H200 Pro Portable Compact Flash DTE Recorder brings ultra-reliable solid state acquisition with Direct-to-Edit (DTE) technology to DV and HDV camcorders. It supports native QuickTime HDV, MXF HDV, and other industry standard file formats. The FS-H200 Pro allows users to view thumbnails and playback proxy content on the recorder’s brilliant color display, generate and share MPEG-4 proxy clips, assign clips to folders with custom names during recording using the REELS functionality, and distribute clips to portable media devices, making collaboration easy.
Focus FS-H200 Pro connects to a DV or HDV camcorder using a FireWire cable and allows users to record directly to standard, low-cost 266x compact flash (CF) memory cards for fast, reliable recording. Content may also be simultaneously recorded on tape. The FS-H200 Pro records in a variety of NLE-compatible formats that enable content to be edited immediately after recording: Simply remove the CF memory card and insert it in any computer for editing or archive ingest using a standard CF compatible memory card reader while continuing to film on a second card. Content may also be transferred by mounting the Focus FS-H200 Pro to a computer via USB2.0 using its HDD mode. DTE technology ensures that footage is ready to edit instantly no matter how it is transferred, with no capture, file transfer, or file conversion required.
The Focus FS-H200 Pro enables workflows to be personalized and optimized even during shooting. Access the Focus FS-H200 Pro via a browser on a computer or mobile device to define metadata and assign it to the video during recording, eliminating time-consuming tagging of footage when the shoot is over. During postproduction, simply transfer clips, complete with metadata, from the Focus FS-H200 Pro to the NLE system. All information assigned during the shoot goes with the clips, saving hours or days of logging time.
